Commune
Commune is our monthly resource for small groups, designed to support growth and learning while putting into practice aspects of a particular Rule of Life. Our vision is for each group to grow and gather in ways that suit them best. To support you in this journey, we’ve designed this resource to help inspire and spark creative ideas for meaningful gatherings.
Peacemaking
In an increasingly polarised and violent world, we believe that the call for peace-making is urgent. The way of Jesus the peacemaker is radical, and we want to follow in his footsteps. In following him, we believe we can walk a pathway to peace that is transformational, showing the radical ability of the Spirit to bring people together despite our differences.
Soul Care
The busyness and noise of the world we live in can demand much of us. So much so that our souls can be overlooked as we attempt to maintain the pace of life. We believe interrupting this pace and allowing our souls space to breathe before God is of crucial importance. We commit ourselves to finding space, each day, for creative expressions of prayer and stillness, both ancient and modern. Through seeking these spaces, we hope to enter into greater awareness of our lives, experiencing the depths of God’s love for ourselves and the world around us.
Easter and Holy Week
This month, we’re connecting in with the global faith community in celebrating Easter. Our faith tradition is a living and growing thing, so joining in with the life found in these traditions is so important for reminding us of who we are as followers of Jesus pointing us to the source of all of our life.
Authentic Community
What would it look like if we dropped our masks and were truly ourselves? There is power in authenticity and learning to live in ourselves, as God made us. We believe that by ourselves, we are not fully ourselves; so, we are committed to regularly joining with others in creative forms of community where it is safe to show up in vulnerability, encouraging each other to become the people we were made to be, and standing beside one another through the rhythms and challenges of life.
